A wheel loader is a construction machine with a front bucket, which scoops up and moves loose material. It is steered by an articulated frame, so it turns by bending in the middle and can maneuver even in a tight space. In armies it belongs to the equipment of engineer units: it loads soil and gravel, clears rubble and obstacles, grades roads and helps in building field positions. It tends to be an inconspicuous machine, but no longer deployment manages without one.
The form for the armed forces differs from a civilian machine in details rather than in shape: a different coat of paint, attachment points for transport and lashing, guards over the lights and fittings that let the machine be carried on the bed of a transporter. The regions given in the name, that is the Middle East, Europe and the Balkans, are the subject the model is tied to. The particular appearance of the machines and the choice of markings are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Try the assembly dry first, especially on the arm and the bucket, where symmetry is easily lost. The arm and the bucket are more comfortable to paint separately from the body. Construction machines that went into military service tend to be repainted from the factory shade into a military one, so the original color works its way through on edges and scuffs; it plays into the model's hands and it is a rewarding way to bring the surface to life. The heaviest wear concentrates on the bucket, on the steps and around the handles.
Paints, glue, figures and accessory sets are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
