Master Box Women of WW II era (1:35) is a plastic set of civilian women from the Second World War period, to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure set from the Ukrainian maker Master Box in 1:35 scale captures civilian women from the time of the Second World War, dressed in the period style of the 1930s and 1940s. The figures are modeled in natural, everyday poses, so they bring civilian scenes to life – a street, a market, a station or a tram stop. It is an injection-molded plastic kit to be glued and painted.
While the front line is well represented in dioramas, civilian life behind it gives scenes depth and a human dimension. Women in period dresses and coats and with the accessories of the day help set military vehicles and soldiers in a faithful environment of occupied towns and villages. The fashion of the late 1930s and the 1940s is what defines these figures.
Clean up the parts and glue them with cement for plastic. A primer works well; civilian clothing offers a richer palette than uniforms – go for fine patterns and a contrast of fabrics and accessories. Work the skin and hair with glazes, and underpaint and highlight the folds of the dresses. The figures come into their own in a civilian diorama with matching scenery.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
