A turned metal barrel for the main gun in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model, meant for a model of the German Pz.Kpfw.VII Löwe super-heavy tank. The precisely machined barrel replaces the split plastic barrel from the kit, does away with the need to fill the seams and gives the muzzle and the bore a perfectly round cross-section. It is not a kit of the tank but a detail accessory for the base model.
The Pz.Kpfw.VII Löwe (VK 70.01) was a German design project for a super-heavy tank from the early part of the Second World War. Development was halted in favor of the even heavier Maus project, so the vehicle stayed at the design stage and was never built in series. Models therefore draw on period drawings and reconstructions.
Simply seat the metal barrel in the turret in place of the plastic part; it is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and give it a primer for good adhesion. The metal barrel also stiffens this exposed part against bending.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
