Photo-etched parts for a model of the German StuG IV assault gun in 1:35 scale. An accessory for a finished kit, which replaces heavier plastic features with thin photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sturmgeschütz IV is a German assault gun of the Second World War. It came about by seating the fighting superstructure of the StuG III assault gun on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw.IV medium tank, and it was reaching units from the end of 1943. The vehicle had no rotating turret, the gun was mounted in the front wall of the superstructure and the low silhouette made it an inconspicuous target. It was deployed to support infantry and against armored vehicles.
Photo-etched parts for a model of this vehicle in 1:35 scale. Photo-etched parts suit everywhere a part should be thin and have crisp edges, because injection-molded plastic cannot reach such a thickness. The list of parts, their placement and the kit the set is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, so that they do not bend. Take the bends along the marked grooves, best of all in a bending tool or between the jaws of flat tweezers. They are glued with cyanoacrylate applied in a small amount; on larger surfaces a glue with a longer setting time pays off, as it will still allow a part to be moved. Before painting, wash the surfaces, degrease them and use a base coat meant for metal, otherwise the finish will not hold on the smooth surface.
The kit of the vehicle, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
