Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures cast in resin in 1:35 scale from the South Korean firm DEF Model captures American tank men in North Africa in 1943. This is the basic variant without a base - the figures are therefore intended above all to be set straight onto a model of a tank or into a diorama of your own. The manufacturer offers the same crew in an extended version with a base as well.
The North African campaign was the first large clash with the enemy for the American armored forces - from Operation Torch in the autumn of 1942 to the victory in Tunisia in May 1943. In the desert the tank men contended with dust, heat and improvisation; their gear combined coveralls, jackets and the characteristic tank helmets. The figures carry this weathered field appearance faithfully into 1:35 scale.
Wash the resin parts before building, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and paint over a base coat. Add dust pigments to the faded olive and khaki shades so that the figures match the desert patina of the tank; oil paints will bring the faces to life.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
