Replacement barrels for the armament of the German armored ship Admiral Graf Spee in 1:350 scale: six barrels of 280 mm caliber, eight of 150 mm and six of 105 mm.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the gun barrels on a model of the German armored ship Admiral Graf Spee in 1:350 scale. It contains six barrels of 280 mm caliber, eight barrels of 150 mm caliber and six barrels of 105 mm caliber, twenty pieces in all. The six barrels of the main caliber cover both triple turrets, the eight belong to the secondary guns along the sides and the six smallest to the anti-aircraft armament.
Plastic barrels in 1:350 are thin and long, so they tend to be slightly bent, carry a visible mark of manufacture along their whole length and have a blind muzzle. Separate barrels are straight and their profile matches the real length, which on a ship with two dominant turrets is the first thing to catch the eye from above. At the same time there is no clean-up, during which a plastic barrel is easily thinned or snapped.
The Admiral Graf Spee was one of the three German armored ships of the Deutschland class, built as fast ships with heavy armament. In December 1939 she fought British cruisers at the mouth of the River Plate, took shelter in Montevideo and was finally scuttled by her own crew.
The barrels are supplied as listed in the name. The ship model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
