Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Fieseler Fi 167 carrier biplane in the A-0 version in 1:350 from the maker Trumpeter. The package holds several examples of the same aircraft and is meant as an accessory to ship models — the flight deck and the hangar of an aircraft carrier in 1:350 are filled with it. The build is short, but the parts are miniature.
The Fi 167 was a German carrier biplane for torpedo and reconnaissance tasks, designed for a planned aircraft carrier. It excelled in exceptional slow-flight qualities — it could descend almost vertically and take off from a very short run, which is fundamental for carrier operations. The designation A-0 belongs to the pre-production evaluation batch; because the ship was never finished, no carrier deployment came about and the machines built served elsewhere. The type thus remained one of the least often seen chapters of German naval aviation.
Glue the struts between the wings one step at a time: first settle them on the lower wing, let them dry and only then fit the upper surface. Use thin plastic cement applied by capillary action with a fine brush. Painting by spraying is more reliable than a brush in this scale — thick paint would swallow the engraving. Only suggest the weathering; a strong wash on a model a few centimeters across looks overdone.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
