Turned brass barrels for the Japanese 12.7 cm/40 Type 89 naval gun in 1:350 scale from MASTER. The version for turrets with canvas blast bags, 12 pieces. A detail accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from MASTER contains 12 turned brass barrels for the Japanese dual-purpose naval gun of 12.7 cm caliber, Type 89 (barrel length 40 calibers), in 1:350 scale. It is the version for turrets with canvas blast bags, which on the real subject sealed the opening for the barrel in the shield. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts and refine the look of the armament. It is a detail accessory, not a ship model.
The Type 89 gun of 12.7 cm caliber was the standard Japanese dual-purpose (anti-aircraft and anti-ship) naval gun of the Second World War. It was installed in twin mountings on aircraft carriers, battleships, cruisers and other vessels of the Imperial Japanese Navy and formed the backbone of its heavy anti-aircraft defense.
Separate the barrels from the casting block with a sharp knife, clean them up and glue them on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer, then spray the paint with an airbrush so that the fine detail of the muzzles is not flooded.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
