This is not a model but a detail accessory for building warships and aircraft carriers in 1:350 scale. The set from the SPACE range combines color 3D decals with photo-etched parts made of steel, thanks to which the flag looks three-dimensional and realistic. The package contains flags in two sizes so that they suit different staffs and masts.
Painting a small flag by hand tends to be difficult; a 3D decal carries the exact drawing and colors, while the steel carrier lets you shape the impression of a flag flying in the wind. The result enlivens the silhouette of the ship and looks more faithful than a paper or printed substitute.
Separate the steel parts from the fret and bend them slightly into the shape of a flying flag. Do not immerse the 3D decal in water: moisten only the backing paper under it, lift it off with tweezers, seat it with PVA glue and then let it dry thoroughly. We recommend subdued colors and a light matte varnish to unify the surface.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
