Eduard 1:350 IJN Kagero, part 1 is a photo-etched set for sharpening the details of a plastic model of the Japanese destroyer Kagero. It is not a kit but an accessory to a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains stainless steel photo-etch meant for improving the details of a plastic model of the Japanese destroyer Kagero in 1:350 scale. It is the first part (part 1) of a larger group of photo-etch for this ship. It completes the fine features that injection-molded plastic cannot capture. In itself it is not a model of the ship; it is an accessory to a base kit.
The Kagero was the lead ship of the class of Japanese destroyers of the same name from the period of the Second World War. These were fast and well-armed units with guns and torpedo tubes, deployed in many actions in the Pacific. The Kagero class was among the mainstays of the Japanese destroyer squadrons.
The etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a firm surface and are glued as a rule with cyanoacrylate glue. Make the bends along the etched groove. Degrease the parts before varnishing. The set suits above all for refining the railings, the ladders, the radars and the fine fittings of the decks.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a kit. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
