Fujimi 1:350 set of Japanese floatplanes — two F1M Pete observation aircraft and two E13A Jake reconnaissance aircraft to bring the decks and catapults of 1:350 ship models to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
This add-on set from Fujimi holds four Japanese floatplanes in 1:350 scale — two of the F1M Pete type and two of the E13A Jake type. The miniature aircraft belong on the catapults and decks of models of Japanese battleships and cruisers; they are not standalone aircraft kits in the usual sense but an add-on to a ship model.
The F1M was a biplane observation floatplane with a crew of two, used from the decks of battleships and cruisers for observation, gunfire spotting and patrol work. The E13A was a larger three-seat monoplane with long range, the most widespread Japanese shipboard reconnaissance floatplane of the Second World War. Both types were launched from ship catapults and came down on the water on their floats.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and work with tweezers. Paint the aircraft according to the period — light gray or green camouflage with prominent national insignia is typical. A fine brush and patience will turn the aircraft into a telling accent on the whole ship model.
This is an add-on set — the ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package. The aircraft are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
