About product

International marine signal flags STEEL (1:350, Eduard)

This is not a ship kit but a color photo-etched accessory from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The STEEL version means photo-etch in steel, which holds its shape better and is stronger than brass. The set holds international marine signal flags in 1:350 scale for dressing ship models.

What the set contains and what it is for

The color-printed flags of the international signal alphabet serve for realistic rigging and dressing of a ship model, whether in a full-dress display or as a specific signal hoist. Thanks to the steel etching they hold a ripple and their shape naturally.

Usage tips

The flags are separated with a sharp knife, shaped gently into a ripple and glued onto the masts and rigging with a tiny drop of super glue. The color print does not have to be varnished.

Who the set is for

  • builders of ship models in 1:350 scale
  • modelers who want a realistic signal or full-dress display
  • dioramas and scenes with ships at anchor

An accessory to a ship model; the kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
