An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese battleship Musashi in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Tamiya. It is an extensive full-hull model of a large battleship with richly detailed decks, main-caliber turrets and a numerous anti-aircraft armament. The model is meant to be assembled, painted and displayed on a stand.
Musashi was the second battleship of the Yamato class, one of the largest battleships ever built. She carried guns of the largest caliber and an extensive anti-aircraft defense. She was completed during the Second World War and sunk in the fighting in the Pacific. She is an iconic subject of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Given the size and the part count, follow the instructions and clean up the hull joints carefully. We recommend a primer, painting with an airbrush and accenting the decks and the superstructure with a wash and a dry brush. The wooden decks can be toned, and the numerous gun barrels and cranes call for patient cleaning up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
