This photo-etched set is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. It holds precisely etched brass parts for improving a plastic kit of the battleship USS Arizona in 1:350 scale. It typically brings fine railings, ladders, booms, details of the superstructure and the boats and other elements that plastic cannot capture faithfully.
USS Arizona (BB-39) was an American Pennsylvania-class battleship. She became famous for her tragic fate in the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, where she was sunk and became a symbol of the entry of the United States into the Second World War. She stood out for heavy main-battery guns in rotating turrets and the cage masts characteristic of the older American battleships.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret and bend them on a firm surface, ideally with a photo-etch bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy. Paint the railings only once they are glued on, best with an airbrush in the shade of the hull and the superstructure.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
