This accessory from the range of the ETA diorama brand brings movie posters with Russian motifs for scenes in 1:35 size. In a scene it serves as a flat prop for a vertical surface, and nothing is built from it. The scale is given in the name of the item.
A movie poster has one advantage over an ordinary notice: it belongs to leisure, and it therefore gives a scene a civilian layer even where a military story otherwise plays out. A display case by the entrance to a cinema, a glazed cabinet on a facade, a surface on the gable of a house or a notice board in an underpass: everywhere such a motif suggests that the city lived outside the events the viewer sees on the diorama. A strong contrast arises when a vehicle or a patrol is standing beside the case with the poster.
First work out where the scene will be seen from, because a prop on the wrong side of a pole is work wasted. If you are building a glazed case, leave a small gap behind the glass; a poster pressed against the glass looks unnatural. The frame around the surface need not be complicated, but its shadow will separate it from the wall in a display case. You suggest age by leaving one piece fresh and the one next to it faded or partly pasted over; the difference between them tells the viewer that the surface has been in use for a long time.
This item is a prop for finishing a scene. You will not find the case, the frame or the surface the poster is fitted to in the package, unless stated otherwise.
