HP4 Race White is a white after the bodywork of the BMW HP4 Race circuit motorcycle, which was built in a hand-made limited series and never received road homologation.
Responsibility details are not available.
A white named after the BMW HP4 Race motorcycle of 2017. It is not a production road machine: the HP4 Race was sold purely as a circuit machine without homologation for use on public roads, and the white on it makes up the largest continuous surface of the bodywork.
BMW built the HP4 Race by hand in a limited series of seven hundred and fifty examples. The machine came with neither lights nor plates for road use, because it counted on a closed circuit only, and its equipment matches that right down to the controls on the handlebars. The bodywork is divided into large white surfaces on which the colored stripes and the plates for race numbers rest, and that is exactly why white is the color there is most of on a model of this motorcycle rather than a complement. The difference from the brand's road machines is visible in how little lettering there is on the bodywork.
Builders of motorcycle models in the larger scales, where the bodywork parts are large and an uneven light tone on them would be visible at first glance. It also suits those who build circuit machines with number graphics of their own and need a light base on which the numbers will not go dull. On the real subject the light panels lie right beside the unpainted carbon of the frame and the wheels, and it is exactly this transition between a smooth surface and the structure of fibers that tends to be the first thing a person notices on a finished model.
