Bugatti Type 35B masks 1:12 from Decalcas: pre-cut templates for spraying the livery of a racing car model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut masks in 1:12 scale for a model of the Bugatti Type 35B racing car. On prewar cars masking makes particular sense: the bodies are smooth, with no panels or beading on which the edge of a decal could be hidden, so sprayed paint is the only way to get a sharp transition that will not look stuck on at first glance.
The Bugatti Type 35 is among the most successful racing cars in history and won hundreds of races in the interwar period. The 35B version was given a supercharged inline eight-cylinder engine, that is a substantially more powerful engine than the basic form. The characteristic horseshoe radiator grille and the aluminum wheels became the marque's hallmark and to this day are among the best known shapes in the history of motoring.
Let the body cure thoroughly before masking. Press the edges of the masks carefully, and on curved shapes work the mask into the curvature gradually instead of stretching it. Spray in thin coats and take the mask off while the paint is not yet completely hard, slowly and at a sharp angle. On single-color prewar cars every unevenness of the surface shows, so smooth the body carefully before painting.
The masks are an accessory, not a kit. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
