The Lancia Delta S4 was the technical culmination of the famous Group B class. Under a body that from a distance recalled the production Delta sat a tubular structure, four-wheel drive and an engine of around 1.8 liters breathing through a supercharger and a turbocharger at the same time. The supercharger pushed from low revs, the turbocharger took over higher up, and the resulting power was beyond the edge for the narrow stages of the day. The car made its debut at the British event at the end of 1985 and won straight away.
