A detail part of the brake system, namely the brake master cylinder and the reservoir that belongs with it. The manufacturer lists the set for 1:20 as well as 1:24, because on a part this small the difference between the two is negligible and what matters more is where it sits on the model. It is a typical part for an open engine bay or for the space under the front hood, that is for places that tend to be visible on a display model.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap so that traces of mold release agent disappear, and separate it from the rest of the casting with a sharp knife. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting. The cylinder and the reservoir look convincing when the materials are told apart: the metal body in a metallic shade with a dark wash running into the recesses, the translucent reservoir in a lighter color or in clear varnish over a light base coat. A thin wire suggesting the brake lines can be added as well.
The set is an accessory, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
