A set of tiny quick release fasteners in 1:24 scale. On racing cars they replace screws everywhere a panel has to come off in a few seconds: on hoods, on fenders, on covers and on removable body parts. A mechanic turns the fastener a quarter turn and the panel is free. On a model it is a detail that tells a racing car from a road one at once, because a row of these heads along the edge of a hood is exactly what is typical of racing machines.
Plan the layout first from period photographs of the car in question, because the spacing and the number of fasteners differ from machine to machine, and a regular row looks more faithful than a random one. Pre-drill the holes and only then fit the parts. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint after fitting; the head tends to be metal and differs from the color of the body, so it can be picked out with a metallic shade applied with a brush.
