A Number 5 modeling paint in a red shade under the designation Cooper 1300 Red, from a range named after automotive paints.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cooper 1300 Red is a red shade from the Number 5 brand. The paints in this range carry the names of automotive paints, so the shade will serve above all on the bodywork of car models, but it suits any part that is to be red.
Stir the contents of the jar thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. It can be applied with an airbrush as well as a brush; the thinning ratio and the recommended thinner are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Spray in several thin coats and let the surface flash off between them, otherwise the paint will flood the fine detail and gather into drops on the edges. Close the jar as soon as you have taken paint out and wipe the rim, otherwise the lid will dry shut in time.
Red is one of the shades that cover less well than dark colors, and over a dark or patchy base it goes darker and stays uneven. Laying a light base coat under it is therefore always worth it when a whole body shell is involved. Add the coats gradually and judge the shade only once it has dried, because wet red always looks richer than dry red.
For builders of car models who work with named automotive shades, and for anyone looking for a rich red. The thinner, the base coat and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
