599 GTB Red is the red for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, a large coupe with a front-mounted V12.
Responsibility details are not available.
On the long hood and wide flanks of the 599 the red spreads over surfaces that mid-engined cars do not have. The shade is therefore meant for large touring coupes, where the color works with continuous transitions, rather than for short wedge-shaped bodies. Large surfaces at the same time mean that the tone sets the overall impression of a model more than on small cars.
The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was presented in 2006 as the successor to the 575M Maranello. The front-mounted V12 of six liters came from the engine the brand had previously used in its limited top car. The second part of the name refers to the circuit where Ferrari tests its machines and where the behavior of the 599 was tuned as well. A sharper variant focused on circuit driving joined it later, as did an open form in a limited number of examples. The type was sold for several years and became a transitional link between the brand's classic V12 coupes and their more modern successors.
For modelers who build the modern V12 classics and do not want to reach for any red merely because the car comes from Maranello. The large coupe wore a light interior and polished wheels with its red body, a pair that lifts the tone further on a model.
