205 WRC Light Blue is a Number Five modeling paint in the light blue tone of the stripes the Peugeot works team carried on its 205 series rally machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
This light blue from the Number Five line has a particular origin: it is the lightest of the four colors with which the Peugeot works team marked its rally cars. The complete palette held red, dark blue, yellow and this light blue. Arranged into a band they turned a white body into an instantly recognizable rally machine. In the finish the light blue sits directly next to the darker blue, so the difference between the two tones has to be clearly readable on a model.
The Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 was among the most successful cars of Group B. With the production 205 it shared only the shape of its silhouette, as technically it was a mid-engined machine with four-wheel drive and a turbocharged engine mounted transversely behind the crew. In the world rally championship it collected titles in the 1985 and 1986 seasons, that is in the last two years when Group B was allowed to start. The white base of the body and the colored stripes around the wheel arches and across the hood became the subject for whole generations of models.
It is meant mainly for those who build the rally machines of the 1980s and want to get the stripes in the right tone instead of a general light blue. It will find use with modelers who make their own combinations in the spirit of the period works palettes as well.
Work in a well-ventilated room and wash your hands after finishing.
