Coral Blue is a turquoise blue from Number Five matching the tone in which the cars sponsored by the Leyton House company ran.
Responsibility details are not available.
A light turquoise blue from the basic Number Five palette. The maker states directly with it that it sits on the tone of the cars sponsored by the Leyton House brand, that is on one of the best remembered colors that appeared in Formula 1 at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s.
The turquoise first showed itself in the top category on the March cars powered by Judd engines and stayed with the team even after it was renamed Leyton House Racing in 1990. Its best known bearer is the March 881 of 1988, the first Formula 1 car from the hands of the designer Adrian Newey; it was driven by Ivan Capelli and Maurício Gugelmin and over the season it gathered twenty-two points. Among the red, white and dark blue cars of the day the light turquoise came across as utterly foreign, and that is exactly why people remember it to this day.
For builders of racing cars who want to get this particular turquoise right and do not want to put it together from a blue and a green. Collectors who build a historic run of cars of one era and need liveries accurate in color will appreciate it too.
Storage: keep the container closed and protect it from frost and from direct sunlight.
