This set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio brings colored raised interior detail ready to apply. They are not self-adhesive: they have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on gloss varnish. The instrument panel, the side panels, the controls and the lettering are printed on backing decal paper and are applied as a wet decal. These are not photo-etch or resin but finished colored detail in relief.
The MiG-29K is the carrier-based variant of the proven MiG-29 fighter, adapted for operation from aircraft carriers. It has folding wings, strengthened landing gear and an arrestor hook. Its modern cockpit with color displays and intricate panels is an ideal target for this type of detail set.
Release the element with a short dip in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing paper and apply it to a surface painted beforehand and gone over with gloss varnish, the only thing it holds on; a matte base is a mistake. The decals are thicker than usual, so secure them with a drop of glue or of gloss varnish. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer at all, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin of the element.
The set contains only the interior 3D decals, not the model, the paints or the glue.
