1:24 Toyota Corolla AE92 JTC 1991 Autopolis is a plastic kit of a Group A circuit coupe that fought in the Japanese Touring Car Championship in 1991.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 1:24 kit depicts the Toyota Corolla Levin racing coupe of the AE92 generation, prepared to Group A homologation rules for the Japanese Touring Car Championship. The name refers to the round at the Autopolis circuit in the 1991 season, where the light 1.6-liter cars fought it out in the smallest division of the series. A body with a bold racing livery, a cockpit with a roll cage and a lowered chassis make the model an attractive subject, not least as a counterweight to the big turbo specials of the day.
The Corolla Levin AE92 was a light sports coupe with front-wheel drive and a 16-valve 4A-series four-cylinder engine of 1.6 liters. In the small-car division of the Japanese championship it fought mainly against Honda Civics, and its reliability let it score points regularly. The Autopolis circuit in the Oita Prefecture on Kyushu opened in 1990 and quickly took its place among the most technically demanding Japanese tracks.
Once the mold seams are sanded down, give the body a light primer and spray in thin coats; then lay the decals onto a polished gloss surface. The roll cage in the interior comes alive after light shading, and on the chassis it pays to accentuate the brake discs and the suspension with a dark wash.
The model is supplied in parts, unassembled and unpainted; the package contains no glue, paints or other chemicals.
