The real subject

You will recognize the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 by its mighty nose with a radial engine, which gave the machine a different silhouette from the slim German fighters with inline engines. The F-8 version was the ground attack one: it carried thicker armor around the cockpit and racks for bombs so that it could manage the work over the battlefield. A number of these aircraft found themselves with new users once the fighting ended, and they re-marked them in their own way.

What the sheet contains

How to apply the decals

• Varnish the surface with a gloss varnish; a matte surface creates a white veil around the film.
• Cut the decal out close to the printing and soak it briefly in lukewarm water.
• Let it rest until the film starts to slide on the backing, then slide it onto the model.
• Squeeze the water out with a soft cloth from the center outward so that no bubbles are left.
• Over engraved lines a decal softener will settle the film.
• Once dry, go over the model with a sealing varnish according to the sheen you want.
