Pre-cut masks in kabuki tape, that is in a thin paper material which holds on curves and leaves no adhesive behind when it is lifted. The set serves for masking during spraying; it is not a kit and not a decal.
New Ware offers several sets for one type, and they differ in the extent of the masking, not in the subject. BASIC is the smallest variant, ADVANCED lies in between and EXPERT is the widest. Two or three sets for the same aircraft are therefore not duplicates: you are choosing how much of the work you want prepared in advance. This one is the BASIC level, that is the entry choice.
The MiG-29 in the izdeliye 9-12 form is the original production single-seat version, which the Allies designated Fulcrum-A. It is a twin-engine fighter with markedly separated engine nacelles and a large lifting fuselage. The late form differs from early machines in details of the airframe and the equipment, which is a distinguishing fact both for the build and for the masking, so it is worth checking which series your kit represents.
Wash and degrease the parts first. Lift the masks with tweezers and press them down carefully, above all in the corners of the frames. Spray perpendicularly and in thin coats, so that the paint does not creep under the edge, and take the mask off shortly after it has dried, while the layer is still flexible.
