A car antenna of the third type in 1:24 scale closes the numbered trio of shapes meant for finishing off a body.

This offer holds a single small building item, not a model of a car or an interior set. The three in the name tells the version apart from the remaining shapes that the Yamamoto Model Parts brand keeps side by side. The point is the same every time: to get an item above the bodywork that looks thin at this scale, and not like a plastic stick.
Modeling competitions are decided on small things, and an antenna is one of them, because it is seen against the sky from every side. A thick molding looks as though the car had a railing on its roof. A fine item, by contrast, does not burden the silhouette, and the viewer does not really notice it, which with a detail of this kind is the right verdict.
Before you start drilling, tape the surroundings over; if the drill slips, it will damage the tape and not the paint. Leave the item a little long during the trial fit and shorten it only once you have looked at the finished bodywork. Painting is a matter of dipping it into a thinned shade and wiping the excess off, so that the coat stays thin. Use the smallest possible amount of adhesive, because excess around the base is hard to remove and a dried drop around the hole is conspicuous in profile.
