A Peewit masking set for the Noorduyn Norseman model in 1:72 scale will help with painting the cockpit of the Canadian strut-braced high-wing monoplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Peewit set for painting a model of the Canadian utility aircraft Noorduyn Norseman. The accessory comes into play at the moment when you have the fuselage glued and want to spray the finish without paint sticking to the windows. The model itself is not included; it is purely an aid for the spray booth.
The Norseman was designed by a Canadian engineer directly for harsh northern conditions, where flying is done from lakes, from snow and from unprepared surfaces. The landing gear could therefore be changed between wheels, floats and skis, the cabin took cargo as well as passengers, and the radial engine stood up to freezing treatment. The machine became a legend of supplying remote settlements, and in the Second World War the US Army Air Forces used it in large numbers as a light transport type. It was on board one of them that the bandleader Glenn Miller disappeared over the English Channel.
A high-mounted cabin invites spraying from above, but the lower edges of the windows are then covered imperfectly. Turn the model over and go through them separately. On machines with floats or skis, paint those assemblies separately and attach them only once the fuselage is finished. If you are going to depict a worn machine from the wilderness, allow for lifting the masks before applying the weathering, not after it.
A kit, floats and paints are not supplied with these goods.
