Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet from the Star Decals brand is tied to the events on Cyprus in 1974 and offers markings for armored vehicles of both sides of the day. The name states by name the M47 Patton, M48A1 Patton, M106A1, M113A1, T-34/85, BTR-152 and Marmon-Herrington Mk IVF types. How many particular machines the sheet covers is stated in the enclosed instructions.
Cyprus in 1974 is, from a modeling point of view, an unusual clash: American postwar types stood against equipment of Soviet origin, and to that armored cars of British provenance from a still older generation. On one island there thus met machines of three different schools, which a modeler otherwise builds into entirely separate display cases. The markings were moreover improvised and often added directly at the units, which gives a build room for character.
The base under a decal has to be smooth and gloss, otherwise matte edges will appear under the film. Cut out as close to the print as possible and let the soaked piece stand for a while before you slide it from the backing into place. Decal softener will help to settle markings over rivets and edges; onto vertical surfaces it is better to apply in smaller parts. At the end unify the whole model with varnish and suppress any gloss, so that the markings do not stand out from the surface.
