The Quinta Studio set aims at the reconnaissance version of the Su-24, designated MR. It carries a raised print created on decal backing paper, so it is applied the wet way and at the same time creates real raised shapes of the instruments and panels on the surface. According to the name this is the small version form.

How the reconnaissance version differs

While the basic Su-24 serves as a strike aircraft, the MR version was modified for reconnaissance duties. It carries different equipment, which is matched by a different arrangement of the crew stations. That is precisely why interior sets for the individual versions cannot be interchanged, and it is a good idea to choose according to the particular kit you have.

Usage tips

• Clean the seats and the side walls of remnants of printing resin and degrease them.
• Unify the surface under the print with a thin layer of gloss clear coat.
• Cut the elements off close to the artwork so that no visible edge is left.
• Draw the water from under the print off with absorbent paper, not by wiping.
• Leave the finished interior to dry overnight, and only then glue the fuselage together.

Who the set is useful for

It is a solution for modelers who want a convincing crew station without painting the individual dial faces. It pays off especially well on a model built with the canopy swung back, where the cockpit is visible and where bare plastic would look empty. Before applying it, look over the layout of the panels at leisure, so that the individual elements do not get mixed up and so that everything seats at the first attempt.
