A plastic kit of the fighter-bomber de Havilland Mosquito in the FB.VI version in a small collector's scale. The subtitle in the name refers to the raid on the prison at Amiens, that is to one of the best known precision attacks carried out by precisely this type of aircraft.
The Mosquito was a twin-engine machine of largely wooden construction, thanks to which it arose quickly and stayed exceptionally light. The FB.VI version was the most numerous of all: it combined fixed armament in the nose with the ability to carry bombs or unguided rockets, and it was used for attacks from low altitude. The raid on the Amiens prison in February 1944 is among the textbook examples of such a deployment over the flat country of northern France.
In this scale it pays to proceed in small steps: first glue the fuselage, then the wing and only at the end attach the engine nacelles, on which you should watch the angle. Mask the cockpit, set the lower surfaces apart from the upper ones and leave the transition soft. Transfer the small decals one at a time and press them down with a softener.
This is an unassembled kit without a finish. The package does not contain glue or paints, unless stated otherwise.
