The Toyota GR86, carried under the designation ZN8, is the second generation of the small sports coupe that won a reputation as an honest car for the driver. The recipe stayed the same: a low-mounted flat four at the front, rear-wheel drive and as little weight as possible. The engine capacity grew to 2.4 liters, so the car pulls better from mid revs and does not have to be kept at the top of the range. The body is a two-door with a sloping tail, and technically the car is close to its sibling the Subaru BRZ.
A kit in 1:24 scale to be glued and painted. The parts are on injection-molded sprues and are joined with cement for polystyrene. With a car model it pays to finish the body including the paint first and only then to add the interior, the glazing and the small external fittings.
The kit will please collectors of present-day Japanese cars as well as modelers who want to try gloss paint on a simply shaped body. Paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
