The Toyota Crown is among the typical cars of public service in Japan and in its police rendition it is to be seen on highways as well as in towns. The GRS214 designation is the factory code of the sedan body. The police examples are based on the production car and you can tell them by their equipment: a light bar on the roof, warning gear, service fittings in the interior and a striking two-tone body in which black shares the surfaces with white.
The 1:24 scale is the most usual one for car kits. A car of this size works out to roughly twenty centimeters in length, so it will take careful work on the interior as well as on the suspension and in a display case it holds together well with other models of the same scale.
On a police car the result rests on a clean boundary between the two colors. Apply the paint in thin coats and let it dry out properly, apply the masking tape only onto a perfectly dry base and pull it off slowly and diagonally. If you are going to settle decals, prepare a smooth gloss surface under them, otherwise they may silver. Glue the glazing and the light bar parts with a cement meant for clear parts, so that the surfaces do not cloud. The particular procedure and the recommended shades are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The kit will please collectors of Japanese cars as well as modelers who devote themselves to service and emergency hardware. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
