The Avro Anson C Mk.19 (IAC, SRAF) kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom.
Responsibility details are not available.
Valom has prepared the postwar transport and liaison form of the Anson. The abbreviations in the name refer to its foreign operators, that is the Irish and Southern Rhodesian air arms, which operated this unobtrusive twin alongside British machines.
The Anson entered service in the mid-1930s as a coastal patrol machine, but it made its name elsewhere. It became a training and liaison aircraft on which tens of thousands of men went through their training. The C.19 version came about after the war: it received a wider fuselage with a metal skin, a refined cabin with large windows and filled the role of a small transport machine for staffs, courier flights and the carriage of the wounded. It lasted in service deep into the 1950s.
Short-run molds call for more work than mass production, so trying the parts dry before gluing will save filling later. The glazed pilot's cockpit and the windows of the passenger compartment are worth masking inside and out. The smooth painted surfaces of postwar machines reveal every unevenness, so sand the surface with very fine paper before painting and check it against the light.
The box holds unassembled and unpainted parts, and the chemicals for the build have to be obtained separately.
