Spent cartridge cases of 25 mm caliber in 1:72 are a small accessory for scenes with modern armored vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The smallest of the series of accessories on the same subject: the cases the weapon threw out after firing. In 1:72 these really are miniature parts whose strength lies in the overall impression, not in the detail of a single piece.
In the small scale the viewer will not make out the shape of an individual piece, but will catch the golden sheen in the spot where the vehicle was firing from. A small group by the side of the hull is enough and the scene starts to tell what went on a moment ago. This way of telling the story also takes up almost no room: it does not eat a single centimeter of the board and yet it carries more information than another painted figure.
Work over a light-colored tray with raised edges so that a part that pings away can be found. Move the pieces on the moistened tip of a toothpick; tweezers often flick them off. Lay the paint on before they are separated from the sprue, if the shape allows it, because on a finished model a brush will not reach them. Keep the quantity in check, because an overdone layer of cases in a small scale looks like spilled grain. Fix the finished group with a drop of thin varnish so that it does not shift when the board is carried.
Only these miniature parts are for sale; the model and the terrain do not go with them.
