YPB-05 Tungsten Steel Broach 0.5 mm is a half-millimeter scriber tip for deep parting gaps on large models.

A WING series scriber tip of tungsten steel whose track reaches half a millimeter. This width no longer forms a fine line but a real gap, of the kind that separates individual panels, hatches and doors. It comes into its own wherever the finished model is to make it clearly legible that these are two separate parts and not a decorative groove in a wall.
It is reached for by builders of large aircraft models, ships and above all robot subjects, on which a prominent division of the surface is part of the style. A wide groove will take further widening with a file, so a deep gap between parts can be made of it, into which an additional detail can be set.
The tool works with styrene moldings, with ABS plastic, with hard resin and with 3D-printed materials. The polished sides hold the tool in the track and stop it jumping out onto the surface. It is clamped by a shank of 3.175 mm diameter into a holder, which is a separate item and does not come with the tip.
