Responsibility details are not available.
A themed decal sheet from the manufacturer Xtradecal in 1:48 scale. It is focused not on one type of aircraft but on one unit and its markings over the course of its service up to 2014. Such sheets tend to be popular with modelers who build a series of models linked by the common history of a unit. The particular machines and schemes represented follow the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
Squadron markings in the Royal Air Force are made up of a combination of national roundels, code letters, the unit badge and technical lettering. Over the course of its existence a unit usually passes through several types of aircraft and several camouflage standards, so the markings of the same squadron from different periods look entirely different: a machine in matte upper camouflage from the Second World War period looks one way and the low-visibility gray markings of later decades quite another.
Sheets that have lain in storage for some time may have a more brittle carrier film and weaker adhesive. Before you reach for the main markings, cut off the smallest unimportant decal and try it out: how long it takes to release from the backing, whether the film tears and whether it holds. When the adhesive is weak, a drop of gloss varnish or decal adhesive laid on the place beforehand helps.
This is a standalone decal sheet, that is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
