This set from the SPACE line by the Czech manufacturer Eduard holds color 3D decals of the seat belts for the interior of a 1:48 model of the Boeing B-17F bomber. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces or supplements the seat belts and gives them a realistic relief look and color.
The 3D decals are printed with a raised surface, so they faithfully imitate the fabric webbing, the hardware and the stitching. They settle directly onto the seats and the surrounding cockpit items, which gives convincing detail without having to assemble tiny photo-etched parts.
Degrease the area before fitting and let the cockpit paint dry completely. Moisten only the backing paper with a damp sponge and a drop of detergent, lift the item off with tweezers and fix it with PVA glue (white glue); the manufacturer does not recommend super glue on 3D items. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution: the chemicals attack the printed resin and destroy the item. You can accent the result with a fine dry brush or a matte clear coat.
