A resin detail set from the Czech maker Black Dog aimed at the engine of a model of the American A-10 Thunderbolt II ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set is NOT an airplane model but a collection of resin parts with which you replace the basic rendition of the powerplant with more faithful detail.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed Warthog, is an American ground-attack aircraft intended for the direct support of ground troops and for the destruction of armored vehicles. It is characterized by a pair of jet engines mounted high on the sides of the fuselage, by heavy cockpit armor and by a powerful rotary cannon. The design puts the emphasis on toughness and on the ability to survive a hit.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit against the model before gluing. On the engine, metallic shades, heat discoloration and light shading of the accessory units all come into their own.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The airplane model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
