This resin set from Quickboost, a brand of the Czech maker Aires, brings faithfully cast antennas for a model of the American Cessna A-37 Dragonfly light attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a small detail accessory for more experienced modelers, replacing the thicker and easily broken plastic parts with a delicate casting of the correct shape. The blade and rod antennas thus get a thinner and more accurate section.
The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly was an American light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft derived from the T-37 jet trainer. It proved itself in the Vietnam War in close support of ground troops and served with a number of allied air forces too. The A-37B version had a strengthened structure and in-flight refueling.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the antennas with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and fit them at the end of the build so that they do not break off.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
