A plastic kit of the LTV A-7B Corsair II in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. A model of the American carrier-borne subsonic attack aircraft of the Vietnam War era.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American carrier attack aircraft A-7B Corsair II in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the early naval A-7B version with its stubby fuselage, finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit, clear canopy parts and underwing armament. Check the exact contents of the box against the enclosed instructions.
The A-7 Corsair II was an American single-engined carrier-borne subsonic attack aircraft intended for precise bombing of ground targets. It was created from the experience with the F-8 Crusader fighter, from which it took a similar layout, but with a shorter and more capacious fuselage for a large bomb load. The A-7B version was an early naval variant with a more powerful engine; the type made a considerable mark in the war in Vietnam.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and the clear parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the cockpit and the instrument panel before closing the fuselage; the canopy can be built open and protected with a mask while spraying. Fit the rich underwing armament and the tanks only after painting. We recommend a primer base and an airbrush; naval camouflage schemes come out best after fine highlighting of the panels with a wash and light weathering of service marks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
