Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a model — it is an accessory that makes it easy to paint the cockpit glazing and other small areas cleanly. The masks are stuck straight onto the parts, so the heavily framed canopy gains sharp, straight edges without laborious cutting of adhesive tape. Sets of this kind usually also contain circular masks for the wheel rims, which make separating the tire from the rim easier.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the main carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War, famous for its exceptional range and agility in the first years of the war in the Pacific. The A6M5 version was among the most widely built and brought a strengthened, reworked wing and further improvements in performance. Its typically divided, well-glazed canopy is exactly the place where masks save the most work.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing with tweezers or the tip of a knife and lay it on a dry, degreased surface. Press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot creep under them. Lay the paint on in thin layers, ideally with an airbrush, and pull the mask off before the layer has fully hardened. On strongly curved shapes it helps to seal the edge with masking fluid.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
