In the sheet 1:48 Aggressors Now - and Then Caracal Models offers markings for the machines of aggressor units in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Decals from the Caracal Models brand on the theme of aggressors, that is of aircraft that play the opponent during training. The name joins the present with an earlier period, so it suits building a pair of models set up as a comparison of two generations in the same role.
Training against the same type you fly yourself has limited value. That is why units were created whose crews learn the tactics of foreign air forces and fly accordingly. The machines receive unusual finishes imitating the color schemes of other armies, desert brown combinations, blue-gray transitions and angular, cubist-like patterns, and often also two-digit or three-digit numbers in a style not used on home units. For a modeler it is the most colorful chapter of modern jet aviation.
With angular camouflage it is easier to work from the lightest shade to the dark one and to create the boundaries with masking tape cut to the shapes needed. Before the decals come up, varnish the surface to a gloss so that the printing does not cross a color divide with a visible edge. With colorful schemes it pays to lay the insignia on one at a time and let each one dry.
These are decals without a model. The kit and paints have to be obtained separately.
