A plastic kit of the British light cruiser HMS Naiad 1940 in 1:700 scale from Flyhawk.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed plastic kit of the British Dido-class light cruiser in her wartime form of 1940. The moldings in fine light gray plastic are completed by photo-etched parts and metal ballast for a model on the water. It is a more demanding build for more experienced modelers.
HMS Naiad was a Dido-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy. She entered service in 1940 and operated above all in the Mediterranean, where in 1942 she succumbed to a torpedo from a German submarine. The Dido class was built primarily for air defense, with dual-purpose gun turrets.
The hull can be built complete or in the waterline version. Glue the fine photo-etched railings and armament with cyanoacrylate. For the camouflage scheme, an airbrush and masking tape work well; the model shows well on a stand or in a diorama with a water surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
