A resin detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale, BRASSIN range. It is not a kit but a set of American AGM-78 Standard ARM anti-radiation guided missiles for realistically adding armament to an aircraft model. The castings capture the bulky body of the missile, the tail and control surfaces and the rocket motor; the set usually also comes with decals for the markings.
The AGM-78 Standard ARM is an American anti-radiation missile developed as a more capable successor to the smaller missile of the previous generation. It came about by adapting a naval anti-aircraft missile and offered longer range and a heavier warhead for the suppression of air defenses. It was carried by Wild Weasel machines and by attack aircraft during the Vietnam War and afterwards.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue. The missile is usually sprayed in a light base color, and the markings and colored bands are taken care of by the enclosed decals.
This is an armament accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
