Eduard 1:48 AH-1Z masks is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set in kabuki tape for masking the extensive cockpit glazing and the wheels of an attack helicopter model. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks in fine Japanese kabuki tape for a model of the Bell AH-1Z attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory that makes masking for spraying easier and more accurate.
The masks are stuck onto the many frames of the helicopter's heavily framed glazed cockpit and onto the relevant areas of the landing gear, so that after spraying the glass stays clear. Kabuki tape conforms well to curved shapes, holds tight and leaves no adhesive when peeled off. The glazing frames therefore come out sharp and straight without cutting tape by hand. Before spraying, press the masks down thoroughly all round so that paint does not creep under, and take them off carefully once dry.
The Bell AH-1Z Viper is a modern twin-engine attack helicopter of the US Marine Corps, developed from the Cobra family. It has a four-blade main rotor, capable sensors and a wide range of guided and unguided armament. The crew is a pilot and a weapons operator seated in tandem behind heavily framed glazing.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
