Pre-cut masks made of soft kabuki type film in 1:48 scale for covering the glazing of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. The designation lists three groups of versions at once, so the set can be used across a wider range of kits in this family. The EXPERT level means the widest range of the set the brand offers.
The Apache cockpit is assembled from flat panes with prominent framing, which looks like the ideal case for straight strips of tape. In practice it is a trap. The panes are not rectangular, the joints meet at various angles and pieced-together tape leaves tiny triangles in the corners that stand out once sprayed. A cut mask respects the real shape of every area and leaves no gap in the corners. On a helicopter the cockpit is often built open as well, so the frames are seen close up.
