An injection-molded plastic kit of the American AH-64A Apache attack helicopter in 1:48 scale from the maker Trumpeter. It is a richly broken-up model of a classic attack helicopter platform. The package holds plastic parts on several sprues, clear parts for the cockpit and photo-etched sheet; the model offers a detailed pilot's compartment, a rotor head and a varied load of external stores.
The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat attack helicopter, one of the most widespread attack helicopter platforms in the world. The AH-64A version is the original production rendition, armed with a 30 mm chain gun, anti-tank guided missiles and unguided rockets. The Apache has proved itself in a number of conflicts as an accurate and tough weapon against armored equipment and targets on the ground.
Use thin cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish and paint the pilot's compartment and the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Spray the model with primer and paint it with an airbrush; for the typical dark green or desert camouflage, freehand airbrushing suits well. Fit the external stores, the rotors and the glazing only at the end, and mask the glazing when painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
